Sponsorship Manager

The Sponsorship Manager will secure new and returning festival sponsorships, manage benefit fulfillment, and act as primary point of contact for festival sponsors. This is a part-time, seasonal position and is 80% remote, 20% in person. Applicants should be local to the Bay Area and are expected to work in San Francisco for in-person dates. Housing/travel not provided.
Dates: immediately – February 14, 2025
Pay: Hourly DOE, plus commission on all acquired cash sponsorships
Hours per week: 20
On site dates: TBD dates January 13 – February 4, 2025
Responsibilities
- Review and update sponsorship levels and benefits with festival producers
- Develop and maintain sponsorship “hit list” — tracking potential and existing sponsorships, their statuses, and any action items
- Create pitch decks for individual sponsor prospects
- Reach out to previous sponsors to solicit returning sponsorships and engage new sponsorship levels with existing sponsor contacts
- Cultivate and secure new sponsorship relationships, and manage existing sponsorship relationships, for SF Sketchfest 2025. This may include corporate sponsorship, in-kind donations, major gifts, and more such as:
- Beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
Snacks and other food for backstage green rooms and Festival HQ - Venue spaces for festival parties and events
- Hotel discounts and staff lodging
- Partnerships with local businesses to increase awareness of the festival, and provide festival attendees with incentives and benefits
- Venues and entertainment for private festival parties and events
- Festival supporter/patron VIP experiences
- Beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Plan, manage and oversee the execution of all custom sponsorship activations during the festival
- Plan, manage and oversee all acquired product delivery, storage and the return of any leftover product
- Plan, manage and oversee the fulfillment of all contractual sponsorship benefits. Work with various departments to deliver benefits as obligated.
- Produce and disseminate wrap reports to each sponsor post-festival that recap their involvement and the benefits they received
- Write a freeform staff wrap report post-festival that serves as a handbook for next festival, and includes feedback on successes and areas for improvement
Qualifications
- Past sponsorship acquisition experience
- Familiarity and experience with Airtable
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, via email, via phone, and in person
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple competing priorities
- Wide network of local business contacts a plus!

Box Office Manager

The Box Office Manager will strategize, implement, and manage all ticketing operations associated with 200+ shows that make up SF Sketchfest 2025. This is a part-time, seasonal position and is 80% remote, 20% in person. Applicants should be local to the Bay Area and are expected to work in San Francisco for in-person dates. Housing/travel not provided.
Dates: October 14, 2024 – February 14, 2025
Hours per week: variable; 20-30, on average
Pay: Hourly DOE
On site dates: TBD between January 13 and February 4, 2025
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Template & Event Building
- Get trained on the Eventbrite system with SF Sketchfest’s Eventbrite representative
- Create event templates from scratch for shows at 6+ venues
- Using templates, build roughly 100+ different events with different price structures, holds, and other details
- Work with Eventbrite representative to ensure all ticketing needs are handled
- Act as primary point of communication with all third party ticketing companies that sell SF Sketchfest tickets
- Convey festival ticket policies and procedures to third party box office staff to ensure a uniform ticketing experience for festival patrons, regardless of ticket provider
- Keep track of updates to show information, and ensure that information is updated across all ticketing platforms on a regular basis, either by updating directly or communicating updates to third party box offices
- Answer questions and make judgment calls on ticketing-related questions and issues that arise with ticketing partners
- Organize and execute initial on-sale and subsequent on-sales
- Collect and format event ticketing details for all SF Sketchfest shows. Manipulate titles, descriptions, show graphics, and other details to conform to SF Sketchfest style guidelines and ticket platform requirements. Deliver all necessary ticketing info to non-Eventbrite ticketing partners.
- Oversee ticket building process, timeline, and perform audit on all shows for accuracy of information in advance of on-sales
- Advise on holds required for each show, holds that can be released, and manage hold inventory on a daily basis
- Troubleshoot any ticketing issues as they arise during on-sale periods
- Manage sales on third party discount ticketing sites like Goldstar
- Data Entry and Sales Tracking
- Create and maintain comprehensive sales grid that must be updated on a daily basis (5x/week), from initial on-sale through post-festival
- Track and monitor all festival ticket sales across all venues/ticket providers
- Advise marketing department on shows to push and other sales trends to maximize ticket sales
- Advise producers on which shows are approaching sellout, and which holds can be released
- Provide regular sales numbers and reports to various constituents (venues, agents, festival producers, etc.) as required–sometimes immediately after shows end
- Complete post-festival audit of all ticket sales
- Comp Management
- Develop system for submission and approval of all internal and artist comp requests for all shows
- Prepare all guest and comp lists for all SF Sketchfest shows and deliver or process accordingly, depending on ticket provider
- Staff Hiring and Management
- Hire roughly 8 box office staff to work each show that uses Eventbrite as the ticketing provider (roughly 100+ shows)
- Develop and maintain staffing schedule for all box officers
- Attend Eventbrite’s training program for box officers and ensure box officers attend
- Customer Service
- Respond to customer service inquiries via Zendesk for all SF Sketchfest ticket buyers
- Liaise with third party ticket vendors to resolve non-Eventbrite ticketing issues
- Act as SF Sketchfest liaison to talent and/or customers at various shows as needed
- Complete post-festival wrap report by February 14, 2025
- Other ticketing-related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Experience selling tickets via Eventbrite
- Project and team management experience in a fast-paced environment
- Must be comfortable managing and responding to high volume of emails in a timely manner
- Proactive and forward thinking; flexible and efficient with time-sensitive box office needs
- Ability to juggle multiple (and often competing) priorities
- Excellent communication skills
- Extremely organized with an excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Google Apps, Airtable, and other online apps as needed
- Able to maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor while receiving feedback

The Marketing Director will help identify festival marketing goals, develop and implement a marketing strategy based on those goals, manage all marketing-related content and deliverables from concept to execution, and manage a small team of marketing support staff leading up to and during SF Sketchfest 2025. This is a seasonal position and is 80% remote, 20% in person. Applicants should be local to the Bay Area and are expected to work in San Francisco for in-person dates. Housing/travel not provided.

PROJECTS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Marketing Strategy Development and Implementation
- With festival producers, identify attainable marketing goals for 2025 festival and determine best strategy and budget for achieving those goals
- Evaluate existing marketing workflows and recommend improvements and best practices both short and long term
- Implement and oversee any workflow updates as necessary
- Manage a small team and drive any projects resulting from overall marketing direction
- Festival Launch and Other Announcements
- Become fluent with festival programming, performers, and policies in lead-up to lineup announcement
- Manage all festival announcements (launch, added shows, promotions), including collection and preparation of external assets, creation of internal assets, oversight of press release creation, and execution of announcements
- Track any programmatic changes after announcements and ensure updates are made wherever necessary (print program, online schedule, ticketing, etc.)
- Media Sponsorships and Co-presentations
- Solicit and develop sponsorships with various media outlets for print, digital, outdoor and other advertising opportunities
- Oversee benefit fulfillment of media sponsors
- Pitch and acquire co-presenters at other community organizations and ensure agreements are fulfilled by both parties
- Social Media
- Work with Social Media & Content Coordinator to develop an overall social media strategy. Oversee implementation of the strategy.
- Manage content creation and approval processes
- Project Management of Deliverables
- Oversee ad spends, both digital and physical, from beginning to end, managing strategy, cost and execution
- Organize and maintain central location for all digital assets related to associated projects, including festival photography
- Implement systems for tracking success of marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Other duties as necessary to execute overall marketing strategy including jumping in for the Graphic Designer and Social Media & Content Coordinator when required

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, WordPress, various social media platforms
- Able to maintain a positive attitude and sense of humor while receiving feedback
