Festival Update
To the SF Sketchfest community:
We are sending you our best wishes during this very challenging time. We feel fortunate that, this past January, we were able to present our 19th annual festival before the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Bringing people together in person to laugh and celebrate comedy is what we do best and we can’t wait to get back to doing it.
If this were a normal year, we would currently be in the process of booking and planning our big 20th annual festival for January 2021. But because of so many unknown factors, it may be awhile before we can all go back to safely attending live events. And so we have had to accept that right now, we don’t see a path forward for presenting a live, in-person festival in January.
Here’s what we want you to know:
- SF Sketchfest will be back.
- We will present a big in-person 20th festival when it is safe to do so.
- We don’t know yet when it will be but we will keep you posted.
In the meantime, like many festivals and presenters, we are planning a series of special virtual events, live streams, and fundraisers that will help keep our small business afloat during this tough time. You can help support SF Sketchfest by buying tickets to upcoming live streams or renting videos from our archive, and in both cases you have the option of donating more if you can.
Stay tuned for updates on future live streams and archival announcements. Thank you for your many years of support for SF Sketchfest. Stay well and we hope to see you all soon.
