The Annual SF Sketchfest, now in its 10th season, will present the screening of the Talking Heads’ movie musical True Stories as it celebrates its 25th anniversary at The Castro Theatre Saturday, Feb. 5th at 5pm.

Talking Heads’ frontman David Byrne serves as the films narrator who visits the fictional town of Virgil, Texas as they celebrate their 150th year anniversary.

The delightful cast of characters includes a very young John Goodman looking for love in all the wrong places, Spalding Gray, always a delight on screen, actress Swoosie Kurtz, Pops Staples of The Staples Singers, Latin music legend Esteban Jordan and fellow musician Tito Larriva.

Unique, quirky, hilarious and touching, True Stories features some of the Talking Heads’ greatest songs, including City of Dreams, Wild Wild Life, People Like Us, Love For Sale, and Radio Head.

David Byrne will sit down for an onstage conversation with author Paul Myers following the screening.

Castro Theatre is located at 429 Castro Street, SF
