The State Reunion and Tribute to Headline 2009 Sketchfest

From SF Weekly

SF’s annual Sketchfest never fails to please the comedy nerds. After months of wondering how they could possibly outdo last year’s Kids in the Hall tribute, the annual festival of hilarity recently announced the reunion of the seminal comedy troupe, The State. Their early-90s television show on MTV revolutionized sketch comedy for years to come, and members then went on to produce classic comedy staples such as Wet Hot American Summer, Stella, Reno 911!, and more recently, Role Models. The complete troupe will reunite for a night of performances as well as a moderated discussion, and certain members will also present a Q&A screening of Wet Hot American Summer. Other scheduled events to take note of are Tim and Eric of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Robert Smigel’s TV Funhouse, and a salute to Bud Cort with a screening of Harold and Maude.
