Chicago born and raised, Scot moved to Los Angeles in 1997 and has since appeared in The Office, “Anchorman” with Will Ferrell, “MADTV,” Comedy Central, Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly Place”, and appears in the book “Comedy by the Numbers” and it’s accompanying short films directed by Bob Odenkirk. Scot continues to enjoy working with “The Office” Kate Flannery in their critically acclaimed live show “The Lampshades” (www.thelampshades.com) at numerous venues here in LA and around the country. Their show has headlined such events as the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, the San Francisco Sketchfest, the Vancouver comedy festival and the Las Vegas Comedy festival.
Scot is a graduate of Northern Il. U. with a degree in illustration and painting. After making the lateral jump to performing arts. He attended, performed and directed at Chicago’s big three schools of comedy; The Second City, Improv Olympic and The Annoyance Theatre. Scot helped create over thirty original shows as well as starting the school at the nationally renowned Annoyance Theatre with founder Mick Napier in 1991.
In addition, Scot also teaches how improvisation is used in business in the MBA programs at Duke University, UCLA and Columbia University. In his spare time he likes to read dry, boring science journals to keep his imagination going.
