Maribeth Monroe is one of the stars of Comedy Central’s hit show “Workaholics” where she plays the ball-busting telemarketing boss Alice Murphy. Maribeth started her career with The Second City where she co-wrote and performed in seven original revues on both the Detroit and Chicago Mainstages. She is a Joseph Jefferson nominated actress for her performance in Chicago’s “Red Scare”, has toured internationally with The Second City National Touring Company and co-created three original shows for The Second City Theatricals that enjoyed national tours. You may have seen Maribeth in her 2010 feature film debut where she co-starred alongside Jennifer Lopez in CBS Films’ “The Backup Plan.” (She’s the pregnant monster giving birth in the kiddie pool.) Maribeth has also been a series regular on NBC’s “Thank God You’re Here,” where she got to work with such notable performers as Jason Alexander, Jane Lynch, Chelsea Handler, Joel McHale, Wayne Knight, Richard Kind, and many, many more. Maribeth has guest starred on a number of shows including IFC’s new hit show “Maron,” “Modern Family,” “The Neighbors,” “Parks and Recreation,” “According to Jim,” “Hannah Montana,” and “Good Luck, Charlie” just to name a few. Recently, Maribeth was cast opposite Tim Robbins and Jack Black in a new HBO pilot called “The Brink”. Maribeth lives in Los Angeles, but her heart will always be in Detroit, Mi where she is from.
