SF Sketchfest in the Mission
February 1, 2013 @ 10:00 pm| $15
SF Sketchfest is proud to present their ongoing series of showcases at the intimate Dark Room Theatre in the Mission District! Some of the best emerging sketch, improv, stand-up and alternative comedy in the country and the world!
“Midbest Presents: Casey and Dave are Different” is a 25-minute two-man sketch show written/performed by Casey Feigh and Dave Theune. Directed by David Ferguson. UCBT-LA faves Casey Feigh and Dave Theune are Midbest, a sketch/improv duo that live in L.A., but hail from the Midwest. Individually, Casey and Dave have been seen on Tosh.0, HBO’s Funny or Die, ESPN, Comedy Bang Bang, numerous national commercials and countless internet videos. Together, Midbest have performed at The Comedy Central Stage, UCB, and various indie shows throughout Los Angeles.
Andy Kaufman Award finalist Dan Crossley has performed nationally at colleges and reached an even wider audience with multiple 2011 appearances on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. His entirely unique act reflects both his background in sketch comedy and his offbeat sense of humor, and earned him an invitation to the 2012 New Orleans Comedy and Arts Festival. Crossley was named on of 25 “up-and-coming comedians to watch” by the New York Comedy Club in 2006, and since then he’s won several awards including the Broadway Comedy Club’s Belly Laughs Award, The Endicott College Comedy Award, and the Framingham Arts Center 2011 Miquer of the Year Award.
Up, Up, Up!’s been performing at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre for three years, they’ve written and performed for TV and stuff, and they’ve won a bunch of awards, probably.
