SF Sketchfest is proud to present their ongoing series of showcases at the intimate Dark Room Theatre in the Mission District! Some of the best emerging sketch, improv, stand-up and alternative comedy in the country and the world!
“Midbest Presents: Casey and Dave are Different” is a 25-minute two-man sketch show written/performed by Casey Feigh and Dave Theune. Directed by David Ferguson. UCBT-LA faves Casey Feigh and Dave Theune are Midbest, a sketch/improv duo that live in L.A., but hail from the Midwest. Individually, Casey and Dave have been seen on Tosh.0, HBO’s Funny or Die, ESPN, Comedy Bang Bang, numerous national commercials and countless internet videos. Together, Midbest have performed at The Comedy Central Stage, UCB, and various indie shows throughout Los Angeles.
EndGames Improv brings you San Francisco’s hottest improv show: “Your F!#&ed Up Relationship” – an entirely improvised comedy inspired by your ridiculous, REAL relationships. We’ve all had at LEAST one. You tell us your amazing stories, we show you ours. You laugh, we laugh, we all hook up at the end. EndGames is an SF-based improv theater and school. We produce six shows weekly at StageWerx in the Mission District, including “Harold Night”, the return of our run-away hit “Confessions”, and, as always, “Your F@#$ed-Up Relationship”. Check out our shows and classes at endgamesimprov.com.
Thunderstood is multimedia one man sketch show that has been performed at comedy festivals across the country. Armed with a projector and a truly odd point of view AJ Schraeder takes you through a stream of conscious presentation of how he sees reality. In 2012 Thunderstood was awarded the title of “Best Sketch Group” at Shadowbox live’s 4th annual Sketch Contest judged by original SNL cast Member Garrett Morris. Julie Lawless of rhum.org described his 2012 performance at SF sketchfest as “ridiculously hilarious”, and spinningplatters.com said the show “showed exceptional stamina and satirical prowess”.
Joey Devine is from the San Francisco Bay Area. He considers himself to be an absurdist, pop culture, storyteller. Which when jammed together like that makes no sense. He is a writer/performer for Yahoo.com’s Broken News Daily a daily comedy news show that gets millions of hits a month. His credits include IFC, The SF Punch Line, The Purple Onion, Things We Made, and The Business. He chose comedy, because his one true love, The Golden State Warriors, spurned him many years ago. He is terrible at basketball.
