SF Sketchfest in the Mission:
Big GrandeMC Mr. NapkinsTremendosaur Sells Out and host Gilli Nissim

SF Sketchfest is proud to present their ongoing series of showcases at the intimate Dark Room Theatre in the Mission District! Some of the best emerging sketch, improv, stand-up and alternative comedy in the country and the world!

When Dan Lippert, Jon Mackey, Ryan Rosenberg, and Drew Tarver met, they made each other laugh a lot. So they decided to work together as Big Grande and try to make other people laugh, too. Big Grande has performed all over LA, most recently doing “Big Grande’s Little Sketch Show” to sold out audiences at the UCB theatre. Individually, members of Big Grande have appeared inAnimal Practice, Workaholics, Newsreaders, FunnyorDie exclusive content, and College Humor.  Their spec pilot, I Think We Got It was a finalist in the NYTVF Comedy Central short pilot competition, and they have been sitting on a sketch they shot which prominently but tastefully features a character in blackface.

Zach Sherwin, also known as MC Mr. Napkins, is a comedian and a rapper. His credits include releasing “MC Mr. Napkins: The Album” on Comedy Central Records, appearing on E!, MTV, and VH1, writing for the MTV Movie Awards, and performing in Montreal’s prestigious Just For Laughs festival. He also writes for the YouTube series Epic Rap Battles of History and has starred in three of the immensely popular videos, portraying such characters as Albert Einstein and Sherlock Holmes.

After years of making no money in comedy they believed in, Tremendosaur has decided to sell out. Join them for a farewell to their integrity via brand-new live sketches, product placement, videos, songs, and the crisp, lemon-lime taste of America’s favorite beverage: Sierra Mist. Tremendosaur is a Los Angeles sketch troupe made up of UCB regulars Justin Michael and Jacob Reed. They’ve written for Comedy Central, Funny or Die, and Cracked.com and have had their work featured on The Huffington Post, The Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine, The Washington Post and all over the magical pixels that make up the internet. Praised by LAist as a “two man sketch comedy beast” Tremendosaur combines live and video sketches into delicious hybrid that’ll blow you a kiss and melt your face clean off your skull.

Gilli Nissim is an improviser/comic from LA. After performing weekly sold-out shows at UCSB, Gilli decided to blow her mind fulltime by entering the world of improv in LA. She can be seen Mondays and Fridays with her Harold team Winslow at the UCB Theater. Gilli has been quickly gaining notoriety for her stand up comedy and character work as well, performing at all major and plenty of minor venues around SoCal. Gilli’s brand of comedy celebrates the universality of everyone being a little bit mad.  She can be seen in several roles this year on Adult Swim and waving at dogs from a distance.
