SF Sketchfest in the Mission:
The Get GoOnassisThunderstood and host Kevin Anglin

SF Sketchfest is proud to present their ongoing series of showcases at the intimate Dark Room Theatre in the Mission District! Some of the best emerging sketch, improv, stand-up and alternative comedy in the country and the world!

The Get Go is a sketch team from the Upright Citizens’ Brigade in LA. Their sketch style is self-described as “super cool” and “everybody’s cup of tea!” Their credits include Just for Laughs festival, the San Francisco Sketchfest, Comedy Bang-Bang, Chelsea Lately, VH1’s Stevie TV,WorkaholicsThe Boondocks, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and NBC’s Community.

Originating as a house sketch team at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Onassis has gone on to win acclaim as one of the best comedy groups in New York City and was recently named Best Sketch Team at the Friars Club 2011 National Sketch Competition. This October saw the sold out, world premiere of their 22-min TV pilot during the annual Friars Club Comedy Festival. They also performed as part of the annual New York Comedy Festival in their Best of NY Sketch showcase and as part of The Upright Citizens Brigade’s Best of 2011. Onassis is: Lauren Adams, Emily Altman, Paul Briganti, Jocelyn DeBoer, Frank Hejl, Rob Michael Hugel, Dawn Luebbe, Kassia Miller, Josh Ruben, Jason Saenz and Mike Scollins.

Thunderstood is multimedia one man sketch show that has been performed at comedy festivals across the country.  Armed with a projector and a truly odd point of view AJ Schraeder takes you through a stream of conscious presentation of how he sees reality.  In 2012 Thunderstood was awarded the title of “Best Sketch Group” at Shadowbox live’s 4th annual Sketch Contest judged by original SNL cast Member Garrett Morris. Julie Lawless of rhum.org described his 2012 performance at SF sketchfest as “ridiculously hilarious”, and spinningplatters.com said the show “showed exceptional stamina and satirical prowess”.

Kevin Anglin is a writer/comedian in New York. He is photographed here doing neither of those. He has glasses and an outie belly button. In 2008 Kevin Anglin won Saint Michael’s College’s Funniest Student competition. Later he won The Higher Ground’s Vermont’s Comedy Battle. After moving back to Boston in 2009 he was a finalist in the Giggles Standup Competition. In 2010 he performed in the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival. He was a headliner at Green Mountain Comedy Festival (‘12) and has performed in The Women in Comedy Festival (‘12) and The Maine Comedy Festival (‘12). He has opened for Bo Burnham, Rob Riggle, Christian Finnegan, Nick Cannon and Owen Benjamin. He enjoys “painting” on the creatively named Microsoft Program : Paint.
